This is probably the picture that has moved me the most ever since i started tumblr. I always go back to look at it on my blog. Words can’t explain the emotions that I go through when I look at this boy. I seriously just want to hug him tight. No child deserves to end up in this state.

Of course I support the demonstrations in Saudi Arabia as they centered around political aims. Those ‘islamist’ elements you allude to have nothing to do what demonstrations are calling for, that is the release of prisoners of conscience. Quite a few of the demonstrators are related to or know someone who is in prison and that is what they are objecting to.

Also, just because I don’t believe in a religion doesn’t mean I don’t support individuals who may or may not practice or believe in a religion.

There not contradictory. The state of Saudi Arabia is not an embodiment of Islam but a political entity. As such, when I post about something political, its is just that. As for what I post on atheism, its just my own personal views.

Also, I’d hardly call what is happening in Saudi Arabia a riot. Whats happening are peaceful demonstrations calling for release of prisoners of conscience and those imprisoned on faulty or no charges. Just to clarify.
